Kate is a committed History teacher with an Honours Degree in History and a PGCE from the University of the Witwatersrand. Her award-winning research on the garment industry in colonial Cape Town deepened her passion for meaningful, locally grounded historical inquiry.
She has taught Grades 8 to 12 in diverse school settings, developing CAPS-aligned lessons and supporting learners with varied educational needs. Kate is dedicated to creating inclusive, engaging classroom environments. Beyond teaching, her background in pastoral care and her broad interests, including ballet and springboard diving reflect the diverse strengths she brings to a school community.
